I Am No Dancer
Rejection of Imposed RolesI am no dancer.
So why do you put me on stage to perform?
Make me wear this red nose and tickle you until you giggle.
Well, hear, hear!
The gloves are off.
They were never truly on anyway.
I don't need any dancers or jesters.
I can move to the tune of my own drums.
And I am content in my own little confines.
As we go our lonely lanes, may our paths cross.
No longer rivals, but equals.
Each doing our duties as ordained.
